Products for the people who build products.
Alongside client work, we build digital products for the professionals who make and run products: design heads, designers, product managers, lean teams and founders. They come from the same place as our studio work: hands-on experience of how brands and digital products get made.
What we have built
About BrokenProduct
A UX audit for digital products. A browser extension captures the screens as you use your product, AI-assisted analysis flags the problems, and a human designer reviews the findings before a report is emailed to you. It covers SaaS products, web apps, websites, landing pages and mobile apps.
Who it is for
- Founders who can tell something is wrong with their product's UX but cannot pinpoint it
- Product managers and app developers who want findings they can put into a backlog
- Website owners and teams preparing to launch
Why a studio builds products
Client work shows where teams get stuck.
Working on brand identities, packaging, websites and apps shows how product teams actually work. Small teams often have no design lead, little time for research, and no shared system that lets people who are not designers ship something consistent.
Those gaps are practical ones, and a service alone does not always close them. So we build products aimed at them, and we keep them separate from client work: our main work is still brand identity and the assets that apply it.
Who the products are for
Five kinds of professional we keep in mind.
- 01
Design heads
Consistent quality across a team's output, and a clear way to review it.
- 02
Designers
Less time on repetitive checks, more time on the decisions that need a designer.
- 03
Product managers
Evidence of where users get stuck, in a form that can go straight into a backlog.
- 04
Lean teams
Expert review and direction without building a full design function first.
- 05
Founders
A plain answer to "what is wrong with my product's UX?", without needing design training.
Community
We are working toward a community around this.
The aim is for these products to sit inside a community of the same professionals: a place to share practice, ask questions and compare notes on how products get designed and run.
It is early. There is nothing to join yet, and sign-ups will not be collected before there is something worth joining. If you would like to help shape it, or have a product you wish existed, tell us.
